Hundreds of Teamsters and SB Residents Attend FAA Hearing on SB Airport Expansion
Hundreds of Teamsters and community members rallied to Thursday night’s Federal Aviation Administration hearing on the proposed Eastgate development at SBD International Airport to say: NO EASTGATE WITHOUT CLEAN AIR + GOOD JOBS
Together with our community partners, we demand that SB Airport Communities get the thorough environmental review that we deserve. Working families need clean air and good jobs, and we will not accept the approval of Eastgate without accountable and enforceable guarantees that we can count on. Read San Bernardino coverage of the hearing here! Learn more about our goals at SBAirportCommunities.org. Prior to the hearing, Local 1932 Secretary-Treasurer Randy Korgan appeared on ABC 7 to talk about our union’s support of SB Airport Communities and the need for a Community Benefits Agreement at the Eastgate project.

Earlier in the week, we participated in a press conference at Curtis Middle School – ground zero for the effects that this project could have on schoolchildren in close proximity to the Eastgate development. See the press conference coverage by ABC, CBS, Univision, and Telemundo below.
